5 Rules for Succeeding in Promoting Your Brand

How can you build a stable Internet presence without blowing your advertising budget off balance?

For an aspiring marketing it can prove to be quite a difficult task, since the competition on social platforms becomes graver every day.

However, you can succeed if you follow the rules that will guarantee your posts are seen by the audience and reach the people who are potentially interested in the products or services that you are offering.

We at YBMG have assembled several rules that will help you get the results you need.

Take a look at these five tips to improve your social media presence:

1. Choose the right platform

The success of the post depends on the platform where you are promoting in. Promoting your content on the wrong platform is the gravest mistake you can make during your promotion campaign.

For example, use bright visuals on Instagram, promote local businesses on Pinterest and Foursquare, write thoughtful posts on Facebook and in your blog and communicate short but catchy messages via Twitter.

Remember not to ask for likes specifically: most of people in the world genuinely hate that. Do not irritate your potential customers.

Look at the statistics to learn which of your posts are the most successful and adapt your strategy accordingly.

2. Determine the right time

Even the most genius posts will be completely and utterly useless if the people you're targeting are asleep while you publish the said posts. Needless to say, for a successful social media campaign time is always of the essence.

Which is why it's extremely important to determine when to post. If you're working on the international level, keep the time zones in mind.

The best publishing time also differs depending on the platform:

- Facebook: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m;

- Google +:  9 a.m. to 11 a.m;

- Twitter: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m;

- Instagram: 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

3. Create a mailing list

It might seem old-fashioned to you at the first glance, however, around 91% of Internet users still check their mail regularly, which makes email listing a highly effective marketing tool at your disposal.

Add all of your customers to the mailing list. Make sure it looks pleasant and do not send more than a letter once a week. The last thing you want to do is to irritate and anger your targeted audience.

Fill your mailing lists with the links to your accounts in social media and the best of your recent posts. It may come in handy.

4. Check the analytics

Your campaign cannot be successful if you have no idea which of your posts provoke the response and engagement from your audience and which ones don't.

You can use the built-in tools like Facebook Insights in order to get the statistics you need. There are also plenty of free online tools that work with other popular social media platforms as well. Take a pick!

Use the data you receive from the analytics to improve your campaign and produce more successful posts that will make your targeted audience engage.

5. Consider using ads

With the new social platforms algorithm - that is especially true for Facebook - and the ever-growing competition you can't achieve the desired results through the organic means only. And here's where you need to consider buying ads.

If you organize your campaign in a smart way and use the right ads, you will be able to get the best results without spending fortune on the advertising.

What you need to do is to choose the platform (remember, different platforms prefer different ad formats) and build a right strategy.

Start with a small budget to see how you're doing. If the results are not so great, do not hesitate to change the ad or even the platform.

A pay-per click system is pretty easy to use, so you won't get in trouble.
