A good script is the keystone to creating a successful animated film. Our screenwriters take each project very seriously.
A team of 2-5 people develops each script.
Usually it takes 4 to 12 days to write one script. It depends on the scope of the project, runtime of the animated film and development budget.
Character creation is an extremely imaginative and meticulous process. It involves both professional artists and creators – imaginative and artistic people who invent and then develop each personal trait of the character.
Photoscript is the sequence of images that aids in creation of movies, animated films and advertisements. It is mostly technical process but also an essential part of the development of the animated film.
Draft sound recording
After client approves the script, we do the draft sound recording for the animated film. It is necessary for characters’ lip-sync (lip movement) and for creating the animatic.
Animatic is based on the photoscript and draft sound recording. In other words, black-and-white images are brought to life and client can observe the draft version of the animated film.
Before this stage, artists were working exclusively on creation of the main and supporting characters, their movements and situations they face. Now they begin to draw the background images that will surround the characters during the entire movie.
To help the animators, artists create the character library. It includes the structured:
- Character angles (front, profile, 3/4, rear view);
- Character emotions;
- Lip-sync (lip movement);
- Different positions of characters’ eyes, mouths, hands and legs.
Several animators are involved in the process. We use cutout animation along with elements of stop-motion animation.
At the final stage, the composer and soundman conduct work on the animated film. The composer creates original music, and the soundman selects appropriate sound effects.
Final mixing is conducted when both video sequence and music are ready.
Soundman adds sound effects.
Video supervisor conducts the final mixing and generates a video file to be saved on the disk or other carrier.
Enjoy your animated film!
